Day 1 - Arrival into Port Elizabeth. Shamwari Private Game Reserve (for 3 nights)

Day One to Three 

Shamwari Private Game Reserve

Shamwari Game Reserve is the ultimate Luxury Big Five African Safari Adventure & Conservation effort coupled with responsible Tourism. Day Itinerary

On Arrival at Port Elizabeth International Airport proceed to the Car Rental counter where you will collect your car rental with a GPS navigation unit.

You will then drive to Shamwari Private Game for the start of your safari adventure.

Enjoy your 3 days of Safari. Game viewing drives take place in morning and afternoons,  as this is when the animals are most active.  The Game Drives are approximately 3-4 hours.

 

 

Day Four to Six

Plettenberg Bay
The Portuguese explorers called it the Beautiful Bay, and it’s easy to see why – Plettenberg Bay is a picturesque, charming town with miles of pristine beaches, tranquil lagoons, clean rivers, indigenous forests and a dramatic rocky peninsula. Playground to the wealthy, beach mansions overlook the Indian Ocean, often dotted with luxury yachts, while leisure time is given over to polo and golf, among other things. However, all kinds of visitors will feel at peace here as simply swimming in the warm water on a safe beach is a great way to experience the beauty of Plettenberg Bay.

Day Itinerary

On this day after a morning game drive and breakfast you will depart Shamwari Private Game Reserve for your drive to Plettenberg Bay.

Plettenberg Bay is renowned for its great beaches and numerous National Parks in the area. Its also a great place to enjoy marine safaris where the dolphins and seals can be seen in the bay.

You will stay at The Plettenberg Hotel a world renowned hotel in Plettenberg Bay.

 

 

Day Seven to Eight

Hermanus

Built along the beautiful shores and cliffs of Walker Bay, Hermanus has grown from a small seaside resort town to become possibly the best-known place for whale watching in the world. Today, this busy town is more than just a popular holiday destination and offers visitors all kinds of activities, both energetic and relaxing.

Day Itinerary

On this day after breakfast you will drive down the Garden Route and head to the town of Hermanus.

Hermanus is famous for whale watching, beaches and nature, as well as its food and wine scene, Hermanus
really is a destination that ticks all the boxes: a palpable history, thriving art scene and boutique shopping.

 

Day Nine to Ten

Franschhoek
A quaint wine farming town with a quiet but buzzing main road which is, in most years, home to 2 or 3 of the country's top 10 restaurants.

Day Itinerary

On this day after breakfast you will head to the famous town of Franschhoek. 

Franschhoek is famous for its century old vineyards and beautiful scenery and its a great place to enjoy your food and wine  culinary experience.

 

Day Eleven 

Cape Town

On this day after breakfast you would drive to Cape Town International Airport for your onward journey home. Return rental car.
